Neil L Andersen






He was born Aug. 9, 1951, in Logan, Utah, to Lyle P. and Kathryn Andersen.  He married Kathy Sue Williams Andersen and they are the parents of four children.


He was sustained to the First Quorum of the Seventy on April 3, 1993.  He was called to the Presidency of the Seventy Aug. 15, 2005 and sustained Oct. 1, 2005, and served in the presidency until April 4th of 2009 when he was sustained to the Quorum of the Twelve.  He was ordained an apostle April 9, 2009. 

He was a former president of the France Bordeaux Mission.
He served as Stake President of the Tampa Florida Stake. 


He earned a bachelor’s degree from BYU
He went on to receive a master’s degree in business from Harvard University.


His business interests included advertising, health care and real estate development, all of which were based in Florida. He speaks French, Portuguese and Spanish.
