Bruce Redd McConkie

He was born July 29, 1915 at Ann Arbor, Michigan.

His parents are Oscar Walter McConkie and Vivian Redd.

He was ordained an apostle, October 12, 1972 by Harold B. Lee at age 57.

Some of the books he wrote include:
Mormon Doctrine
It tunrs out, while reading the biography of David O. McKay, I learned, that some committee had found over one thousand doctrinal errors in the book. All I had heard, throughout my life, was that another church/religion was upset, that he had identified the great and abominable church. The apostles were upset that it had that kind of title, making it seem official.  Ever since, all General Authorities had to have their books previewed before publishing.
